Well ... hunger drifts in. So the kitchen is miles away from the Spanish restaurant! The tapas are mainly frozen food from the supermarket, the potato pockets with cream cheese could even be clearly assigned to Penny Markt ... on the whole, you get full but don't call it a Spanish restaurant.

For me, El Mercado is the very best Spaniard in town! Nowhere else are there such delicious prawns and aioli as here! Everything is freshly prepared and the fish in particular is always delicious. I've been coming here for over 15 years (previously at Lindener Marktplatz) and I've never been disappointed once. The tapas day on Monday is particularly recommended. The chef is a Peruvian and whoever knows a little bit knows that there are a number of great star chefs from Peru and that Peruvian cuisine is unrivaled ... Of course, the interior is not the prettiest, but I only go there for the good food. El Mercado is definitely a fairly unknown insider tip!

Delicious. Ample portions with a very good price-performance ratio. Very friendly service. Very nice that you can pay by card. We got a parking space without any problems. I haven't seen anyone without mouth and nose protection. Conclusion: gladly again!

Took fish soup only. Hot, tasty, full of fish. Price 4,2 EUR. Fish and meet dishes ~12-16 EUR. Spanish atmosfere ;)

Fresh and tasty! ? recommended! From the outside, the restaurant makes little impression, but inside begins the charm of the Spanish restaurant. Friendly service and fresh food! The fish plate for two was part of the day ticket and is highly recommended. Too seldom are there such delicious fish.

After the El Mercado moved from Linden to Ricklingen, we wanted to test it at the new location. Lo and behold: everything is as good as ever. The service is super friendly, the food is super good and only the location is a bit unusual. But it's up to me because I've known the restaurant as a Greek for 40 years. A highlight in Hanover and a clear recommendation.
